Responsibilities

• Completely assess animal conditions to determine treatment options.
• Perform surgeries, maintaining sterilisation practices to prevent infection.
• Advise on animal nutrition and wellness products.
• Work with specialists for referral cases when necessary.
• Oversee the work of junior veterinarians and interns.
• Participate in case discussions and team meetings.
• Conduct research to stay up-to-date with advancements in veterinary medicine.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine

Experience

• 3-5 years' experience in veterinary surgery

Technical Skills

• Anaesthetics
• Endoscopy

Certifications

• South African Veterinary Council Registration

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
