Baggage Porters and Bellhops

Job Description

As a Baggage Porter, you will ensure the comfort and safety of our passengers during their overnight journeys. Your role includes assisting passengers with boarding, providing personal assistance with luggage, and maintaining a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Support passengers in loading and unloading luggage.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in sleeping compartments.
• Engage with guests to provide a friendly and hospitable service.
• Assist management with various duties as required.
• Ensure all necessary amenities are available to guests.
• Conduct regular checks on guest comfort and safety.
• Assist in emergency situations with a calm and professional approach.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent
• Certificate in Hospitality or Tourism is preferred

Experience

• Experience in the train or transportation industry is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of train operation systems (advantageous)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Other languages (advantageous):

• Experience in the train or transportation industry: Prior experience in similar roles increases suitability.
