Job Description

The Reeler will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery that winds strips of material onto spools, ensuring quality control and adherence to production schedules. This hands-on role requires a high level of physical dexterity and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery for winding processes, ensuring high-quality output.
• Conduct regular quality checks of finished products.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment according to standards.
• Keep detailed logs of production metrics and levels.
• Assist in optimizing production efficiency and processes.
• Work closely with supervisors to implement improvements.
• Implement safety measures and report hazards.
• Participate in team meetings for process improvements.
• Assist in training sessions for new staff.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Technical diploma is a plus

Experience

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or textile production environment preferred

Technical Skills

• Mechanical troubleshooting

Languages

• English: Fluent
