Job Description

As a Music Therapist at Healing Harmonies Foundation, you will provide therapeutic services that use music to enhance the emotional, social, and cognitive wellbeing of our clients. You will be part of a dedicated team that believes in the power of music as a healing tool and will work closely with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document client progress towards therapeutic goals.
• Develop engaging music therapy activities to foster emotional expression.
• Collaborate with social workers and psychologists to enhance client care.
• Participate in staff meetings to discuss client cases and improvement strategies.
• Engage in reflective practice and supervision sessions for professional growth.
• Implement goals based on evidence-based practices in music therapy.
• Utilize a range of instruments and technology to support therapy sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Creative Arts Therapy or equivalent
• Licensure in South Africa is required

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in music therapy practice
