Job Description

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist who's eager to make a difference in the lives of our clients in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will assess patient needs, craft personalized therapy plans, and execute therapeutic interventions that promote recovery and enhance functional abilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients' needs through in-depth assessments.
• Create and implement personalized treatment programs.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
• Educate clients on therapeutic techniques and home programs.
• Document progress and adjust intervention strategies based on patient feedback.
• Participate in team meetings and case discussions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in occupational therapy

Technical Skills

• Patient assessment
• Clinical Documentation

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in community rehabilitation settings: Background in providing therapy in community health contexts.
• Skills in assistive technology: Knowledge of assistive devices and technology for enhancing patient care.
