Network Administrator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join our Cape Town office. The ideal candidate will manage and optimize our network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity and security for all employees. You will work closely with the IT support team to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements in our systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure network connectivity across all corporate locations.
• Analyze network traffic and optimize data flow.
• Provide training and support to staff on network usage and best practices.
• Coordinate with external vendors for equipment procurement and maintenance.
• Generate reports on network performance and issues to management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Advanced network certifications (e.g., CCNP, CISM) is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in network management.

Technical Skills

• Firewall Configuration
• Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
• Cloud Networking

Soft Skills

• Troubleshooting
• Adaptability

Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with network automation tools: Proficiency with Python or similar for automating network tasks.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices: Understanding of ITIL framework in relation to network management.
