We are on the lookout for a passionate Veterinarian to join our dynamic team in Pietermaritzburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animals, providing preventive care, and maintaining medical records. You'll also have the opportunity to implement health education for pet owners, ensuring they understand the best practices for their pets.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose animals to determine the nature of diseases or injuries.
• Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications.
• Perform patient observations and follow-up assessments.
• Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results.
• Offer advice on animal health care and nutrition.
• Supervise veterinary technicians and assistants.
• Engage in community outreach and education on responsible pet ownership.
• Collaborate with pet owners to provide optimal care for their pets.
• Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
• Participate in community events to promote the clinic.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine
• Postgraduate qualifications in a specialised field are advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years experience, preferably in a mixed practice
