QA Automation Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for designing and implementing test automation frameworks, collaborating with development teams to enhance product quality, and driving continuous improvement within the QA processes.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with development teams to conduct root cause analysis of defects.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide input on QA best practices.
• Review product documentation to ensure complete test coverage.
• Support manual testing efforts as needed to validate critical functionality.
• Ensure quality metrics are monitored and reported in a timely manner.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related field
• CI/CD certification is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in automated testing frameworks

Technical Skills

• Cucumber
• TestNG

Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• CI/CD Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Docker for containerization: Knowledge of using Docker for containerization in QA processes.
