Interior Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Interior Designer with a keen eye for detail to join our Johannesburg team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating innovative designs that enhance the functionality and aesthetics of various spaces, from residential homes to office environments. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with clients, understand their needs, and transform their visions into reality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to understand their vision and requirements.
• Create and present design concepts, colour schemes, and layouts.
• Develop detailed floor plans and 3D renderings to bring designs to life.
• Select furniture, fixtures, materials, and finishes that align with the design vision.
• Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging design technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Design or Architecture
• Additional training in Project Management is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years in residential and commercial design

Technical Skills

• Interior Design Software (e.g., SketchUp)
• Building Codes and Regulations

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Collaboration

Certifications

• Certified Interior Designer (CID)
• Certified Professional Interior Designer (CPID)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficient in additional design software: Knowledge of design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience in project management: Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines and client expectations.
