Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Environmental Engineer to join our Durban team. You will be responsible for designing and implementing projects aimed at improving the environmental footprint of various industries. Your expertise in environmental regulations and sustainable practices will be crucial in developing strategies that mitigate impacts on the natural world.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate project impacts on the ecosystem and develop comprehensive management plans.
• Act as a point of contact regarding environmental issues for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with engineers and planners to integrate environmental considerations into project designs.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
• Prepare grant applications and report on environmental sustainability initiatives.
• Review and analyze technical documents related to environmental regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Environmental Management is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
