Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Childcare Worker to create a nurturing environment for children in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of child development and the ability to engage in activities that foster creativity and learning.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
• Provide structure and routine to the children's daily activities.
• Encourage self-sufficiency through play and learning activities.
• Be a positive role model by demonstrating appropriate behaviors.
• Assess each child's needs and adapt care plans accordingly.
• Maintain a positive, friendly, and nurturing relationship with children and families.
• Ensure that all childcare activities are age-appropriate and aligned with developmental standards.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate in Early Childhood Development
• Degree in Social Science or Education is advantageous

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in a childcare setting

• Nutrition for Children

Certifications

• CPR and First Aid Certification for Childcare Workers

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Afrikaans.
