Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Public Health Officer to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in implementing health initiatives, data collection, and community outreach programs aimed at enhancing public health across various demographics.

Responsibilities

• Lead outreach efforts in the community to promote health initiatives.
• Engage in epidemiological surveillance and reporting.
• Facilitate partnerships with local organizations to enhance health resources.
• Provide training for community health workers and volunteers.
• Prepare and present reports to stakeholders on health programs and initiatives.
• Advocate for public health policies that improve community health outcomes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in public health or community health roles
