We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our Johannesburg team. In this role, you will be tasked with developing and implementing security protocols, monitoring systems for vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents. Your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding our clients' digital assets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and mitigate risks accordingly.
• Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and monitoring tools.
• Prepare reports and communicate security issues to management.
• Assist in incident response planning and execution.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity

• Firewall Management

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with SIEM tools: Hands-on experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools such as Splunk.
• Familiarity with threat modeling techniques: Ability to perform threat modeling to identify and address potential security issues.
