We seek a motivated Environmental Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The successful candidate will contribute to environmental assessments, manage projects related to sustainable practices, and develop innovative solutions for pollution control and resource management.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee implementation of environmental monitoring systems.
• Investigate environmental incidents and prepare incident reports.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address complex environmental issues.
• Contribute to grant proposals for environmental projects.
• Stay updated on new environmental regulations and technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a relevant field

• GIS Software

Certifications

• ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor
• Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

• Experience with grant writing: Ability to write and secure funding for environmental projects.
