As an Operations Manager at our Cape Town location, you will oversee daily operations in our logistics and distribution department. You will be responsible for improving operational systems, processes, and policies to ensure efficiency and quality service. Your role will involve coordinating with various teams and stakeholders to streamline logistics operations and maintain the highest standards of service delivery. You will be leading a talented team and will play a key role in driving performance and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of logistics and distribution activities.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless operation.
• Develop strategic plans to enhance logistics operations.
• Provide leadership and guidance to team members to achieve objectives.
• Evaluate and select suppliers and contractors based on performance.
• Conduct risk assessments and put in place mitigation strategies.
• Support cost control efforts while maintaining quality standards.
• Participate in budget planning and resource allocation.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Lead projects to implement new logistics solutions and services.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, or related field
• MBA or equivalent is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience managing logistics operations
