Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Officer in Port Elizabeth to oversee safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations in the Public Safety and Law Enforcement sector. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of safety management systems and a passion for promoting workplace safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead safety meetings and promote a culture of safety.
  • Monitor safety performance metrics and report findings.
  • Respond to safety-related queries and provide guidance.
  • Implement emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Review and update safety manuals and training materials.
  • Encourage participation in safety initiatives and programs.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management or a related field
  • Master's degree is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in health and safety management
