Textile Cutting Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender

Job Description

As a Textile Cutting Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender, you will play an integral role in our production process. You will be responsible for operating cutting machines, interpreting patterns, and ensuring the accurate cutting of fabric swatches for various applications.

Responsibilities

• Accurately measure and cut fabric samples based on design requirements.
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of cutting machines.
• Keep track of inventory levels of materials and notify the supervisor when low.
• Work with the design team to ensure timely delivery of cut swatches.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills on machinery and techniques.
• Assist in training new employees in machine operation and safety procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent

Experience

• No previous experience required, training will be provided.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or textile industry: Experience in a similar role will be an advantage but not required.
