Join our team as a Childcare Worker in Durban! You will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for children. You’ll plan and implement activities that promote their social, emotional, and physical development, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children.
• Facilitate structured and unstructured activities.
• Monitor and assess children's progress and well-being.
• Foster a love for learning through fun and educational activities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a high standard of care.
• Engage with parents and families to support their involvement.
• Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills.
• Adapt activities based on the diverse needs of children.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Certificate in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or similar qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in early childhood education

Technical Skills

• Lesson Planning
• Behavior Management

• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in a diverse childcare setting: Familiarity with working in multi-cultural environments and understanding cultural differences.
