Financial Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Financial Analyst to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, keen analytical skills, and an ability to interpret financial data to assist in strategic planning. You will be responsible for analyzing financial reports, forecasting trends, and advising on investment strategies to maximize profitability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed financial forecasts to inform business strategy.
• Collaborate with various departments to create a cohesive financial strategy.
• Design and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial performance.
• Identify and communicate financial risks and opportunities.
• Prepare and present financial information to key stakeholders.
• Assist with audits and tax returns as required.
• Continuously seek opportunities for operational improvement.
• Perform market analysis to determine competitive positioning.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• Master's degree or additional qualifications in finance is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of relevant work experience in financial analysis

• Forecasting and Budgeting

Certifications

• ACCA or CIMA is an advantage

Languages

• English: Fluent
