Substitute Bus Driver

Job Description

The Substitute Bus Driver will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of passengers. The successful candidate will possess a valid driver's license with a PDP, maintain the buses in good condition and ensure the comfort and safety of all passengers while on board. The role requires excellent communication skills, a strong awareness of passenger safety, and a commitment to providing a positive travel experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive on assigned routes safely, ensuring passenger safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean and organized bus environment.
• Conduct inspections of the bus to ensure safety compliance.
• Engage positively with passengers and assist with their needs.
• Document daily operations and report issues to the Operations Manager.
• Provide feedback to management on operational improvements.
• Participate in training and safety meetings as required.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 10 or equivalent qualification
• First Aid Certification is beneficial.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a professional driver.

Technical Skills

• Attention to detail
• Time management skills

Soft Skills

• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Certifications

• Defensive Driving Certification is a plus.

Languages

• English: Fluent
