Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Site Reliability Engineer to enhance our infrastructure. You will work closely with development teams to improve the reliability and scalability of our systems. Ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of cloud technologies and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee system architecture and enable best practices in a DevOps environment.
• Monitor production systems for anomalies and maintain system health.
• Engage with software development teams to understand application architecture.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase reliability.
• Support and mentor junior team members in operational excellence.
• Collaborate with IT security teams to address potential vulnerabilities.
• Lead incident post-mortems to improve future response strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 5-7 years experience in systems reliability or engineering

Technical Skills

• Monitoring Tools (Prometheus/Grafana)
• CI/CD Implementation

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Effective communication

Certifications

• Google Professional DevOps Engineer
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Cloud Security Practices: Understanding of security principles and practices related to cloud environments.
• Experience with serverless architectures: Knowledge in building and maintaining serverless applications.
