Job Description

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to join our Johannesburg team. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing support for network connectivity problems, and ensuring optimal performance of IT systems. Your expertise in IT will help us maintain seamless operations and ensure the satisfaction of our users.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support for hardware and software issues.
  • Maintain records of IT service requests and resolutions.
  • Help with the deployment of new technology solutions.
  • Troubleshoot printing and faxing issues.
  • Respond swiftly to IT emergencies and problems.
  • Engage with vendors for IT-related purchasing and services.
  • Help to optimize IT processes for increased productivity.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Certifications in ITIL or similar frameworks are advantageous
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in IT support
