As a Whip Sawyer, you will be integral to our operations, responsible for the efficient and safe processing of timber. You will operate sawmill equipment, ensuring high-quality output while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the sawmill machinery.
• Conduct regular checks on safety equipment to ensure compliance.
• Document daily production metrics.
• Perform minor repairs on machinery as needed.
• Assist in training activities for incoming staff.
• Communicate effectively with team on production goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Participate in safety audits and meetings.
• Help with inventory management of timber and supplies.
• Adapt to new procedures and technologies as introduced.
