As an Investment Banker based in Cape Town, you will be pivotal in executing mergers and acquisitions, preparing pitch books, and engaging with clients to provide insightful financial analysis. We are looking for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can build strong relationships.

Responsibilities

• Draft and structure complex financial documents and reports.
• Support in conducting industry benchmarking and competitive analysis.
• Deliver presentation material to clients and stakeholders.
• Manage timelines for project deliverables alongside team members.
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence exercises for transactions.
• Assist in the negotiation of terms to facilitate deals.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of internal processes.
• Solicit client feedback for service enhancement.
• Conduct team training sessions on financial tools and products.
• Support the managing director in various strategic initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or Business
• Master's degree in Finance or related field is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in financial advisory or investment banking

Technical Skills

• Valuation Techniques
• Due Diligence

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA)
• CFA Certification highly regarded

Languages

• English: Fluent
