Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Electrical Engineer to become part of our Cape Town office. In this role, you will develop, design, and implement electrical systems ensuring that they meet all safety and regulatory requirements. You will also conduct regular inspections and oversee site testing activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical solutions.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to meet project timelines.
• Perform calculations and simulations to validate designs.
• Conduct regular audits of electrical systems for performance enhancements.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure best practices.
• Support the engineering team in research and development initiatives.
• Mentor new team members on company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering

• Power Systems

Certifications

• Certified Energy Manager (CEM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of safety standards: Experience with IEC and ANSI standards.
