Electrical Network Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Network Manager to oversee the planning, operation, and maintenance of our electrical infrastructure in Cape Town. The successful candidate will ensure the efficiency and reliability of power distribution while leading a team of engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize the operation of electrical distribution systems.
• Coordinate with external contractors and service providers.
• Implement maintenance schedules to enhance system reliability.
• Evaluate new technologies for potential integration into existing networks.
• Lead incident response efforts for network outages.
• Assist in developing training programs for junior engineers and technicians.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings to discuss project progress.
• Evaluate project performance and suggest improvements.
• Ensure accurate documentation of network operations and changes.
• Support sustainable practices in energy management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• 7 years of experience in managing electrical networks

• Understanding of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure: Familiarity with the infrastructure required for electric vehicle charging.
