Insurance Actuarial Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Insurance Actuarial Analyst to join our team in Sandton. The successful candidate will play a critical role in evaluating risks and developing strategies that support our insurance products and services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate actuarial models to assess the profitability of insurance products.
• Work with data scientists to enhance data collection and analysis methods.
• Support financial planning processes by providing actuarial insights.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting actuarial practices.
• Assist in the production of reserve calculations and financial statements.
• Engage with external auditors and regulators as needed.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Statistics
• Postgraduate studies in Actuarial Science is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar position in the insurance sector
