Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Exhibition Curator to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in curating exhibitions, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for promoting art. You will collaborate with artists and stakeholders to create compelling narratives and experiences for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Establish relationships with artists, collectors, and cultural institutions.
  • Assist in the preparation and installation of exhibitions from concept to completion.
  • Compile exhibition catalogues and materials for press releases.
  • Engage in community outreach to promote exhibitions and events.
  • Monitor exhibition performance and collect public feedback for improvements.
  • Organise and participate in workshops related to art education.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Art History, Fine Arts, or related field
  • Master's degree in Arts Administration is preferred
Experience
  • 5 years of experience in cultural programming or exhibition management
