Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing risks and determining coverage amounts and premiums. You will work closely with clients and agents to develop tailored insurance policies that meet their needs and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of risk associated with policy applications.
  • Work with actuaries to assess insurance pricing and potential profits.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of policies with clients and brokers.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly.
  • Ensure all underwriting practices comply with company policies and regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in underwriting or a related field
