We are on the lookout for a proactive Software Engineer to join our vibrant team in Johannesburg. You'll be responsible for designing and developing innovative software solutions, working alongside our talented developers and designers to create products that enhance the user experience. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software features according to client needs.
• Participate in requirements gathering and documentation.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of applications.
• Ensure code quality and adherence to programming standards.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers for best user experience.
• Adapt to new technologies and frameworks as needed.
• Maintain and update technical documentation for software applications.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience with web technologies

Technical Skills

• Node.js
• HTML/CSS

• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Oracle Certified Professional Java SE Programmer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies: Experience working in Agile environments to enhance productivity and output quality.
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure): Experience in deploying applications on AWS or Azure is highly desirable.
