Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to assess risks, negotiate coverage terms, and ensure effective policy placement for our clients. This role is integral to our operations and will involve collaborating with various teams to facilitate a smooth underwriting process.

Responsibilities

• Assess the risk of insuring applicants and calculate appropriate premiums.
• Analyze data from applications, claims, and other sources to make underwriting decisions.
• Collaborate with agents and clients to develop tailored insurance solutions.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of underwriting activities and policy changes.
• Review and approve coverage limits in accordance with company guidelines.
• Provide support to the sales team in preparing quotes and proposals.
• Identify trends in claims data and recommend process improvements.
• Monitor policy renewals and advise on adjustments as necessary.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance underwriting skills.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in underwriting or relevant financial services
