UX Designer - Cape Town - UX/UI Design

Job Description

We're on the lookout for a creative and detail-oriented UX Designer to join our expanding team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for designing user-friendly interfaces for our web and mobile applications, ensuring an optimized experience for users. The ideal candidate should have a strong portfolio demonstrating experience in UX design and a knack for problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from concept through to completion.
• Engage with users to gather insights and feedback.
• Translate complex ideas into simple user experiences.
• Work within Agile development processes.
• Create user journey maps to illustrate user interactions.
• Participate in stand-ups and contribute to team discussions.
• Ensure accessibility standards are met in design work.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Human-Computer Interaction is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of UX design experience with a focus on mobile applications

Technical Skills

• Responsive design principles
• HTML/CSS

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Interaction Design Foundation Certificates

Languages

• English: Fluent
