Actuarial Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to help in modelling and risk assessment. You will collaborate with other professionals to improve our clients' financial planning processes. A sound understanding of actuarial principles and tools is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct statistical analyses to assess financial risks.
• Develop and implement actuarial models.
• Prepare reports on findings and communicate outcomes to clients.
• Collaborate with the underwriting and finance teams to improve risk assessment processes.
• Assist in pricing strategies for insurance products.
• Support senior actuaries in developing financial forecasts and scenarios.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting the actuarial landscape.
• Provide guidance to junior analysts.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or a related field

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in actuarial analysis or a related field

Certifications

• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA)
• Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (FASSA)

Languages
