Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will provide high-quality medical care to a wide range of animals, from routine check-ups to complex surgeries. Your expertise will contribute to the well-being of our patients and enhance the service we provide to the community.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat animal injuries and illnesses.
  • Perform surgeries and diagnostic tests.
  • Educate clients on animal health and nutrition.
  • Coordinate with the veterinary team to enhance care.
  • Document all procedures and treatments in patient files.
  • Assist in training junior veterinary staff.
  • Stay informed on veterinary medicine updates and practices.
  • Manage clinic inventory as needed.
  • Assist in marketing and outreach to foster community awareness.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
  • Postgraduate qualification in surgery is advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a veterinary practice
