Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Environmental Engineer to enhance our projects aimed at sustainability. Based in Cape Town, you will lead environmental assessments and contribute to projects that reduce the overall environmental impact while adhering to regulations. A focus on innovative solutions is key in this role.

Responsibilities

• Analyze environmental data to inform project decisions.
• Collaborate with clients to develop custom sustainability plans.
• Lead workshops on environmental best practices.
• Review and interpret legislation regarding environmental protections.
• Create public awareness campaigns related to sustainability.
• Coordinate with contractors on environmental compliance.
• Assess ecological risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Manage budgets for environmental projects.
• Evaluate new technologies for environmental applications.
• Report on sustainability metrics and progress.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Master's degree in Environmental Management is ideal

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in related environmental fields
