Architect

Job Description

We are looking for an Architect to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will have a strong background in both architectural design and project management, and will be responsible for leading projects from concept through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative architectural designs for various projects.
• Lead project teams and collaborate with clients, engineers, and consultants.
• Prepare detailed drawings and specifications in line with project requirements.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with architectural specifications.
• Stay updated on building technologies and sustainable practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent
• Master's degree in a relevant field is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of architectural design experience

Technical Skills

• SketchUp
• Building Codes

Soft Skills

• Creative Thinking
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with sustainable design practices: Familiarity with green building techniques and sustainable architecture.
• Familiarity with project management software: Experience with software like Primavera or MS Project for managing timelines.
