Job Description

We're looking for a passionate Public Health Officer who can efficiently implement health programs in East London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing community needs, designing health initiatives, and collaborating with local institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and report on local health conditions and trends.
  • Design and execute educational workshops for schools and community centers.
  • Advocate for policies that promote public health within the community.
  • Collaborate with epidemiologists to investigate health risks.
  • Facilitate training for healthcare workers on public health practices.
  • Develop online resources for health education and outreach.
  • Monitor program budgets and ensure effective resource allocation.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or a related field
  • Master’s in Global Health is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in public health roles, preferably in community settings
