Job Description

We are seeking a talented Geotechnical Engineer for our Sandton office. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing geological conditions for various construction projects, ensuring structural integrity and safety. A strong background in geotechnical analysis and project management is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical investigations effectively and present findings.
• Work closely with design teams to integrate geotechnical engineering into project plans.
• Interpret geological and geotechnical data and make informed decisions.
• Provide technical input to other engineering disciplines.
• Monitor construction activities and geotechnical performance on-site.
• Engage in risk assessments and mitigation strategies related to geotechnical aspects.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development.
• Participate in project meetings and report on project status and challenges.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering
• Postgraduate qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering projects
