Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring safe and effective medication use, providing patient counseling, and collaborating with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient medication therapies and make recommendations.
• Ensure the pharmacy is compliant with health and safety standards.
• Develop and enhance pharmacy services to meet community needs.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
• Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting

Technical Skills

• Clinical Knowledge
• Electronic Health Records

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Customer Service

Certifications

• South African Pharmacy Council Registration

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Familiarity with medication therapy management programs: Experience in developing and managing medication therapy management programs.
• Ability to mentor junior pharmacists: Experience guiding and mentoring less experienced pharmacy staff.
