Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Childcare Provider to join our compassionate team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for child development and will be responsible for creating a safe, welcoming, and educational environment for children. Your role will include engaging children in age-appropriate activities, monitoring their progress, and communicating effectively with parents.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee daily activities for children of varying ages.
• Maintain a secure and nurturing environment for all children.
• Liaise with parents to keep them informed about their child's activities and milestones.
• Facilitate playtime and guide children through interactions.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children.
• Encourage teamwork and cooperation among children in group activities.
• Document children's developmental milestones and progress.
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all children.

Requirements

Education

• Early Childhood Education Degree

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in childcare settings

Technical Skills

• Curriculum Development
• Behaviour Management

Soft Skills

• Creative Thinking
• Empathy

Certifications

• Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Proficiency in multiple languages: Ability to communicate in both English and Zulu or Afrikaans.
• Experience in family communication: Familiarity with effective strategies for communicating with parents regarding their child's progress.
