Job Description

We are seeking a Nursing Manager to oversee our nursing staff and ensure exceptional patient care at our Johannesburg facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for healthcare management. You'll be responsible for developing nursing practices, mentoring team members, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assess health issues in pets through examinations.
  • Implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
  • Perform emergency procedures when required.
  • Advise on animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards.
  • Participate in training programs for staff.
  • Assist in inventory management of medical supplies.
  • Engage with pet owners to enhance their understanding of animal health.
  • Document patient interactions and treatment outcomes.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment through teamwork.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
  • MBA or management qualification is a plus
Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in clinical veterinary practice
