Job Description

As a Kiln Furniture Caster, you will be responsible for creating molds and casting kiln furniture pieces from high-grade refractory materials. Precision and attention to detail are key in ensuring the quality of our products. You will be working in a dynamic environment where your skills in manual dexterity and problem-solving will shine.

Responsibilities

• Operate kiln furniture casting machines and ensure the production of high-quality products.
• Monitor the casting process and make necessary adjustments to meet production targets.
• Perform routine maintenance on casting equipment.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products and report any defects.
• Assist in inventory management and stocktaking as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for production processes.
• Adhere to all safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training or certification in ceramics production is an advantage

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in kiln furniture casting or a related field

Technical Skills

• Attention to detail

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
