IT Support Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled SOC Analyst to join our cybersecurity team in Cape Town. In this role, you will monitor security incidents, analyze data, and respond to threats in real-time. Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to end-users and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment and software.
• Log and track support requests and provide timely updates.
• Train employees on use of IT systems and software tools.
• Ensure system security and data backup procedures are followed.
• Collaborate with team members to implement IT projects.
• Prepare documentation and reports on support activities.
• Assist in network configurations and maintenance.
• Evaluate current processes and suggest improvements.
• Maintain an inventory of IT assets.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Computer Science or IT related field

Experience

• 3+ years of technical support experience

Technical Skills

• Linux OS
• Hardware Troubleshooting

• Team Collaboration
• Time Management

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• ITIL Certification: Knowledge of ITIL principles and practices.
• Experience with Microsoft 365: Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and support.
