Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Special Education Instructor to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of diverse learning needs and be committed to implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) to support students' growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Create tailored instructional materials and resources for students with varying needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers to enhance curriculum accessibility.
  • Conduct regular assessments to track student progress and adapt teaching approaches.
  • Provide crisis intervention and behavior management strategies as needed.
  • Facilitate workshops for parents on helping their children at home.
  • Work alongside therapists and specialists to deliver a comprehensive educational experience.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with special needs students
Technical Skills
  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

Certifications
  • Registered Special Education Teacher (RSET)
Languages
