Job Description

We are looking for a Structural Engineer who is ready to tackle challenging projects in Johannesburg. Your role will include developing structural designs, performing calculations, and reviewing plans to ensure compliance with regulations. You will work closely with a diverse team of professionals and contribute to the successful completion of key projects in the region.

Responsibilities

• Utilize engineering software to create 3D models and simulations for structural designs.
• Assist in the selection of materials and construction methods to optimize project outcomes.
• Conduct risk assessments to minimize structural failure and safety hazards.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices.
• Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance processes.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of structural engineering experience with a focus on commercial projects

• SAP2000
• Matlab

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent
