Job Description

We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to enhance our mental health services in Cape Town. The successful applicant will deliver impactful psychological care, conduct assessments and create tailored treatment plans, while working alongside a team of committed mental health professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose mental health disorders through interviews and screenings.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to individual client needs.
• Work closely with other mental health professionals to coordinate care.
• Facilitate support groups for clients and their families.
• Document client progress and treatment outcomes.
• Engage in community outreach programs to promote mental health services.

Requirements

Education

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology
• Registration with the relevant health professional council

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting

Technical Skills

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Assessment Tools

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Communication

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with diverse populations: Experience in working with multicultural clients enhances treatment effectiveness.
• Training in additional therapeutic modalities: Additional training in modalities like DBT or EMDR is advantageous.
