We are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our Durban team. The ideal candidate will evaluate insurance applications and assess risk, ensuring that our clients receive the most accurate and fair underwriting decisions. Responsibilities

• Assess insurance risks and determine appropriate premium rates.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers.
• Provide expert advice on underwriting best practices.
• Work with claims departments to manage claims and adjust underwriting standards as needed.
• Prepare regular reports summarizing underwriting activities and performance metrics.
• Identify new business opportunities through market research and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with all internal and external underwriting regulations and policies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in insurance underwriting
