Job Description

As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with financial audits. Your role will be crucial in supporting the overall financial health of the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial records.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and budgets.
  • Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with South African accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.
  • Manage payroll and employee reimbursement processes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock-taking.
  • Implement financial controls and procedures.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Accounting or Finance
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience

Certifications
  • Certified Bookkeeper (CB)
