Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tax Specialist to join our Pretoria office. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of South African tax regulations, with the ability to manage tax compliance, provide advisory services, and develop effective tax strategies for our diverse clientele. You will play a crucial role in assisting businesses to optimize their tax positions while ensuring compliance with legislation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of corporate tax returns and filings.
• Identify tax credits and deductions to assist clients in maximizing their tax benefits.
• Advise clients on various tax-efficient structures.
• Interpret tax legislations and assess their implications on clients’ financial situations.
• Manage and train junior staff on tax compliance procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential tax liabilities for clients.
• Liaise with tax authorities as needed on behalf of clients.
• Document and maintain accurate records of tax return filings and correspondence.
• Ensure quality control of tax submissions to minimize the risk of audits.
• Research complex tax issues and prepare written summaries or reports.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master’s degree in Taxation is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in tax compliance or advisory roles
