Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Cybersecurity Consultant to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. You will be responsible for assessing security measures, implementing security protocols, and providing expert advice to enhance our clients' cybersecurity posture.

Responsibilities

• Identify and rectify weaknesses in network and application security.
• Produce detailed reports highlighting areas for improvement.
• Guide clients through security incident responses.
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with vendors for advanced security solutions.
• Implement security awareness programs to educate staff members.
• Lead internal training sessions on cybersecurity protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles

Technical Skills

• Firewalls and VPNs
• Threat Analysis

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Time Management

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in Python or scripting languages: Ability to create scripts for automation and security analysis.
• Experience with security frameworks: Familiarity with frameworks like NIST or ISO 27001.
